Sonalisa Mishra currently residing in Brisbane (Australia) was born and brought up in Bhubaneswar, Orissa, and from the very beginning she had a strong interest towards the performing arts, and at the early age of 3 she started learning Hindustani Classical Vocals with her elder sister. Sonalisa was taught by Classical vocal “Guru Gaurang Samanth” for almost 10 years and hence she developed a deep bond with music, especially singing, and has won several local singing competitions and has also actively performed on Stage shows all over India. To add another feather to her cap, Sonalisa is also a trained Odissi Dancer and was trained by “Guru Gangadhar Pradhan” right from the age of 3 years. At the nascent age Sonalisa has also tried her acting carrier by doing ollywood serials and modeling shoots. She could do all this because of her parents. Both parents and siblings are quiet supportive and encouraging too.

As a tribute to him on his 89th birth anniversary year, I have released this song.

Sonalisa has performed in many local community events including ficq( The Federation of Indian communities of Queensland) and Gopio( The Global Organisation of people of Indian Origin). She has made a contribution to Odiyas in Queensland by supporting the cultural team. Sonalisa was also the judge in the regional championship by Ismaili Community. She is actively participating and giving her contribution to different Communities.
Sonalisa has performed as a guest artist at the 20th Anniversary of Baz Lurman’s masterpiece “ The Moulin Rouge” supporting by Bossmoxi band (Australian Band).
Sonalisa has participated in several small and big gigs to support musical Clubs like SPC (Sangeet Premi Club), MSV, RIC ( Rhythm India Club) and many more.
